I recently had the opportunity to embark on a trip to Jaisalmer with Enlive, marking my first travel experience with this group. Overall, the trip was well-organized, with thoughtful attention given to various aspects of the journey. The accommodation, commute, and overall travel logistics were taken care of seamlessly, allowing us to enjoy the trip without concerns. Additionally, there were plenty of breaks during the travel, ensuring we were comfortable throughout the journey. The accommodation itself was conveniently located near the sand dunes, providing easy access to the surrounding desert landscape. However, while the trip had many positives, the itinerary didn’t quite strike the right balance at times. It seemed to oscillate between being too rigid and too rushed. Certain activities or visits felt hurried, leaving little room for spontaneous exploration, while others seemed overly structured. This made it difficult to fully immerse in the local culture and sights at a relaxed pace. The city of Jaisalmer, with its rich history and intricate architecture, deserved more time to truly appreciate its charm, but unfortunately, the itinerary didn’t provide enough of that opportunity. We as a group felt that there should be some room in the itinerary to choose some activities on our own. On the positive side, our trip captain, Rishabh, played a significant role in ensuring everything ran smoothly. His knowledge and experience were invaluable, as he had visited Jaisalmer multiple times. His familiarity with the area made him a great resource, offering insights into the history, culture. His efforts to make the trip as smooth as possible were much appreciated, and his presence contributed to an overall positive experience.
